GREEN NEWS It has been decided by the board, that all Mobile Supervisor and Area Cars will go green and be replaced with LPG Vehicles from the start of March 25^th January 2010

Mick Price said : “ I was on duty and saw a large vehicle ram raid a neighbouring unit I contacted the police on the 999 who attended straight away and all four people were arrested. All I can say it broke my afternoon up."

Duval Security wish to congratulate Dean Smith on his bravery and awareness in the line of duty.  At about 22:00 hrs on Thurs 12^th Nov Dean smith was on duty at the Caterpillar Stand Leicester Tigers Rugby Football Club. He noticed a male, dressed in what looked like Green pyjamas stagger past the reception doors. Dean recognised him to be wearing hospital pyjamas! Dean persuaded the male into the reception area, gave him a drink of water and contacted the police. The police arrived and returned the male to the Leicester Royal Infirmary. Just another way of showing the diversity and professionalism of Duval Security Officers.

Duval Security would like to thank Security Officer Solomon Abraham  for stopping a serious break in at Severn Trent.  Whilst Mr Abraham was on patrol he caught intruders at the rear of the site.  He called the Control Room who dispatched all available Supervisors but on this occasion they got away.

Duval Security would like to thank Security Officer John Burke for stopping a violent criminal at Preston Market.  Whilst Mr Burke was on patrol he came across the suspect trying to steal items .  He solely detained the man and also received an injury in his task.

Duval Security would like to thank Security Officer Ghenda Msuya  for stopping a serious break in last night at Costcutter Store (Hinckley).  Whilst Mr Msuya was on patrol he caught intruders on the roof removing Lead.  He called the police and the intruders were arrested.

 Mr Lee Simmonds Sales Director said: "Mr Msuya did an excellent job and followed his training to the letter the intruders were very organised and could have got away with a lot if it wasn’t for Ghenda actions.  His prompt action had saved our customers a lot of money."

Sarah Whelband (Business Manager Midlands) has won the security contract for a National Housing Association in Leicester.

Sarah said: " This contract is different to most as the security officers will be trained as fire marshals and health and safety officers the officers will work nights and weekends when their own staff have left."

Sarah said: "It’s been a great month so far for me."

Duval Security wish to congratulate Harry Speeding who has been promoted to the new supervisor at the Thwaites Brewery (Blackburn) Harry is responsible for 10 Officers and will also deal directly to the security manager on a day to day basis.

Duval Security would like to thank Security Officer Makhan Singh for stopping a serious break in on Saturday night at a local Transport company.  Whilst Mr Singh was on patrol he caught intruders unloading Plasma Televisions off a trailer.  He called the police but the intruders escaped empty handed.

Mr Lee Simmonds Sales Director said: "Mr Singh did an excellent job and followed his training to the letter the intruders were very organised and could have got away with a lot if it wasn’t for Makhan’s actions.  His prompt action had saved our customers a lot of money."

Security officer of the month went to Samuel Koomson (Land & Buildings Northampton) for fighting off a fire in the line of duty.

Leicester City Football club have asked us to provide a security officer for two days at Asda Fosse Park to provide security for the League division one trophy which is on display for all to see.

Sarah Whelband (Business Manager Midlands) has won the security contract for a Local Council in Leicestershire.

Congratulation to Mrs Sarah Whelband (Business Manager Midlands) for successfully winning the National contract for Lynx Forecourt.  This is a two year contract with 10 different locations.

Sarah said "It has took two months of hard work and graft to win this contract I am so happy with the outcome."
