This is the UK’s most popular first aid course, and if you have already completed First Aid Training, this is probably the course you were enrolled on. To keep your skillset up to scratch we recommend jogging your memory on an Annual Refresher instead of a Full Requalification Course.
Emergency First Aid at Work provides delegates with an extensive first aid skillset so that they can identify incidents and manage them appropriately, whether the patient is conscious or unconscious. The course is designed to be beneficial to all employees, fulfilling recommendations underlined by the HSE and ensuring that all workplaces have a designated first aider to protect against accidents.
Workplace requirements vary greatly, and so we have a full selection of first aid courses to choose from. However, within this category the extensive 3 Day First Aid at Work course offers the best coverage, especially to those who work in hazardous environments.
The aim of this course is to train candidates to manage an accident scene in the workplace, effectively communicate and delegate until the Emergency services arrive. The course will teach the skills needed to deal with a casualty who is unconscious, not breathing, injured (as a result of an accident at work) and/or suffering from a medical condition. The course also includes what to do after an accident or incident at work, reporting procedures, disposal of clinical waste and ensuring that your first aid kit complies with the standards set by the HSE.
